Greetings!

Welcome to my data playground!

By day, I am an ovarian cancer researcher at the BC Cancer Research Institute, where I am dedicated to making advancements in the field of oncology. However, when the night falls, I immerse myself in the world of data analysis.

Within the realm of cancer research, I have encountered numerous situations where the answers are not readily apparent, requiring me to approach challenges with a critical and creative mindset. This unique skill set enables me to explore uncharted territories, uncover hidden insights, and find innovative solutions even while navigating an ambiguous problem.

While depth of knowledge in a chosen domain is essential, I firmly believe in the power of breadth as well. In the face of unexplored problems within our domain, it is often enlightening to draw insights from adjacent or even unrelated domains. I believe that a conceptually analogous problem might have already been solved elsewhere, waiting for a passionate individual or a collaborative team to translate the solutions between the two domains.

Through this blog, I will share my data analysis projects. I will leverage my knowledge of R, Python, statistics, and machine learning, which I have gained through my undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of British Columbia, and independent research.
